I’ve found a food supplement that contains barley, wheat, alfalfa, pepper. Is it any good? Thank you.

    • admin 02/24/2011, 6:47 pm:

It’s important to know precisely what it contains: barley grass, wheat grass and alfalfa grass or cereal grains, alfalfa and pepper seeds or pulp. Recommendations may vary depending on which part of the plant was used in making the food supplement in question.

    Are roast bags harmful?

    • admin 02/24/2011, 6:47 pm:

The bags are toxic when in direct contact with the fat in meat (or cheese) and if they are subjected to extreme temperatures: heating or refrigeration (their composition releases toxic products including dioxin). You can cook a steak using the roast bag if you first dress the meat in parchment paper or aluminum foil and then place it in a tray.

How many cups of green tea can I drink daily? Please let me know.

    • admin 02/24/2011, 6:16 pm:

Green tea has antioxidant effects (when infused within 3 minutes!) and you can drink up to 6 cups per day for short periods of time or 1-2 cups per day, three weeks per month. If infusing lasts more than 3 minutes, then you’ll get a drink that’s high in caffeine!

Hello! I need some help and some tips! I am 15, my height is 1.70 and I weigh 60 kg; I struggle with cellulite just like all teens do! Cellulite is visible on my thighs, buttocks and legs and it looks awful! Can you please be so kind so as to advise me what I can do to get rid of this burden that affects my life! Thanks.

    • admin 02/24/2011, 6:16 pm:

Unfortunately cellulite occurs very early, being seen in more and more people, even men lately. There are several things you should keep in mind: wearing socks and trousers that are very tight leads to stasis and impairing of circulation and thus the appearance of cellulite; diets rich in meat, chicken, beef or pork grown with growth hormones will distort your metabolism and lead to unsightly fat accumulation; lack of essential fatty acids from your diet will lead to transformation of lipid metabolism (fats) and the modification of adipose tissue cells. You can begin by following a series of manual lymphatic drainage and the correct diet and lifestyle.

    Hello doctor Bogdan,
I’ve been a vegetarian for approximately two years (no meat, dairy, alcohol, coffee, chocolate, white bread, etc.) for reasons of health problems. I understood from the beginning that detoxification brings forth states of crisis, the return of illnesses; this is how the body slowly returns to its healthy state, over periods of several years. I also understand that these states can range from removal of pus for example, to psycho emotional crisis.
What can you tell me about how the body cleans itself by reliving the “old history”?
I would also like to know if the occurence of degenerative diseases can be delayed only by diet and exercise and what other alternative treatment methods were applied successfully. Well, I realize that these alternatives are personalized, but I am interested in your opinion on the matter as well.

    • admin 02/24/2011, 6:14 pm:

Dear Madam, I understand that you have chosen to be a vegetarian for health reasons, and now you’re experiencing past illnesses. I would like to know if moving from one lifestyle to another was done gradually, if you followed a detoxification diet at the beginning of this new lifestyle and if the illnesses you are experiencing now differ in matters of intensity and duration from those you experienced in the past. Passing through the old history to healing should be of shorter duration and of much lower intensity. Healing should occur gently, in reverse direction of illnesses. If you’re reliving your past at high intensity, than you should seek a specialist who will lead the way to healing without jeopardizing the balance of the body.
In terms of degenerative diseases: healthy lifestyle is extremely important in maintaining body health; should the balance be broken, there is today the possibility to intervene to the finest details of the mechanisms of disease due to the development of regulating physiological medicine (over the last 25 years). This new field of medicine allows the use of very small doses of specific drugs (up to the interleukins level, metabolic mediators, hormones, neurotransmitters, interferon, etc.) without adverse effects, but sometimes with remarkable results in treating diseases that were once deemed as incurable.

Hello, I have a question: Is it ok to take into consideration the theory according to which we should adjust our eating habits to our blood types?

    • admin 02/24/2011, 6:14 pm:

Blood types are no longer as pure as they were hundreds of years ago. If a person has parents with different blood groups then he/she most likely will not have the same characteristics as the parent that has the same blood type. Using blood type to determine eating habits must be correlated with other clinical, laboratory, and constitutional features of the person in question.

Hello! Can you please tell me what symptoms and what tests may show the need to detoxify the body? Thank you very much!

    • admin 02/24/2011, 6:13 pm:

Symptoms can be very varied: chronic fatigue, decreased ability to concentrate, sleep disorders, bowel disorders, the appearance of skin eruptions, allergies or acne, unpleasant odor or sweat stains, menstrual cycle changes, etc. Many of these symptoms are mild or moderate, occur frequently, but cannot cause changes to clinical tests. The best thing you could do is to change your lifestyle and to include two detoxification periods per year, or set one day a week to follow a cleaning regimen.

Hello. My name is Alexander, I am 17 and I need a piece of advice. I lost 10kg two years ago during one summer, and last summer I lost 8kg. I am now 176cm and I weigh 65 kg. I am currently taking ColonHelp food supplement; I’ve changed perspectives and I am more interested in nutrition. I’ve stopped eating sweets that are overly processed and full of additives, I eat fruits and vegetables one every 2-3 days, I use less oil and fats, I eat whole grains (without milk) etc. The problem is that I feel weakened, I have no energy. Is there any food supplement I should try? What’s your recommendation? My daily meal consists of 2200-2500 kcal (approx). Thanks.

    • admin 02/24/2011, 6:13 pm:

The rapid weight loss has brought about nutrient depletion in the body which has given rise to chronic fatigue. Your current diet is probably not appropriate even if you have correctly calculated the number of calories (depending on what these calories come from!). In addition, you are now taking a supplement that prevents the absorption of large quantities of food and leads to rapid elimination of food ingested. The best solution is that you restore the rules regarding your diet (see a specialist for this) depending on the real needs of your body.
